Orbiter
Model
Shuttle to Tomorrow
U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, Titusville, Florida
Downloading Shuttle to Tomorrow from image files This full scale model of an orbiter is located outside the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame.  The rampway leads from a theater built into the payload bay: the entrence is through the rear.  Inside, guests take an imaginary trip via video and stereo headphones with John Glenn as captain.  This theater is now closed to the public. It was originally built in Japan.  The exterior is well proportioned, however the tile outlines are just painted on.  There is a full flight deck and mid-deck used by Space Campers for simulated flight.
